FUTMINNA STUDENT, STEPHEN OYELAMI, SET TO ATTEMPT GUINNESS WORLD RECORD IN MARATHON READING CHALLENGE

Stephen, a 300-level student of Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering (ABE) at the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA), has officially announced his selection as one of the marathoners for the upcoming Naija ReadFest Guinness World Record attempt.

In a recent media release, Stephen expressed his excitement and pride in being part of the team aiming to break the Guinness World Record for the longest reading aloud marathon by a group, a remarkable 424 hours nonstop!

“From August 5th to 22nd, we’ll be reading, inspiring, and rewriting Nigeria’s reading culture, one voice at a time,” Stephen said. “This isn’t just about books; it’s about showing that reading matters, that young Nigerians are rising, and that history is being made, loud and clear. I’m honored to be part of this record-breaking journey!”

Stephen called on the public for support, prayers, and encouragement, urging Nigerians to follow his journey and be part of a movement to revive the nation’s reading culture.
