GKTV FOUNDATION SET TO LAUNCH SECOND EDITION OF SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR INDIGENT STUDENTS

Just a few days after GKTV FOUNDATION, a subsidiary of GKTV Media, collaborated with COINLY, a digital trading platform, and WAKA WAKA LOGISTICS, a fast-growing delivery and logistics company in Minna, Niger State, the Foundation is once again making headlines with the announcement of the second edition of its scholarship program.

As part of the recent collaboration, COINLY App distributed palliatives worth over ₦700,000, including food items and cash, to more than 200 students in Minna. This gesture further cemented the commitment of the partners toward youth empowerment and social support.

Building on the momentum, GKTV Foundation is now set to roll out the second edition of the GKTV FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP, aimed at supporting indigent students struggling to pay their school fees. The first edition, launched in 2024, saw over 20 students from the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMinna) fully sponsored through the generous contribution of a philanthropist, an act that brought hope to many students.

For this year’s edition, six indigent students will be sponsored through public funding in the first batch. The application portal will officially open on Wednesday, 16th April 2025, and eligible students are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Foundation also made a passionate appeal for more donations and sponsorships from well-meaning individuals and philanthropists to enable them to reach and support more students in need.

    El equilibrado representa una fase clave en el mantenimiento de maquinaria agricola, asi como en la produccion de ejes, volantes, rotores y armaduras de motores electricos. Un desequilibrio provoca vibraciones que aceleran el desgaste de los rodamientos, provocan sobrecalentamiento e incluso llegan a causar la rotura de componentes. Con el fin de prevenir fallos mecanicos, es fundamental detectar y corregir el desequilibrio a tiempo utilizando tecnicas modernas de diagnostico.

    Principales metodos de equilibrado
    Hay diferentes tecnicas para corregir el desequilibrio, dependiendo del tipo de pieza y la intensidad de las vibraciones:

    Equilibrado dinamico – Se utiliza en componentes rotativos (rotores y ejes) y se realiza en maquinas equilibradoras especializadas.

    El equilibrado estatico – Se emplea en volantes, ruedas y piezas similares donde basta con compensar el peso en un solo plano.

    La correccion del desequilibrio – Se realiza mediante:

    Taladrado (retirada de material en la zona de mayor peso),

    Colocacion de contrapesos (en ruedas y aros de volantes),

    Ajuste de masas de balanceo (como en el caso de los ciguenales).

    Diagnostico del desequilibrio: ?que equipos se utilizan?
    Para identificar con precision las vibraciones y el desequilibrio, se utilizan:

    Maquinas equilibradoras – Miden el nivel de vibracion y definen con precision los puntos de correccion.

    Equipos analizadores de vibraciones – Capturan el espectro de oscilaciones, identificando no solo el desequilibrio, sino tambien otros defectos (por ejemplo, el desgaste de rodamientos).

    Sistemas de medicion laser – Se emplean para mediciones de alta precision en mecanismos criticos.

    Especial atencion merecen las velocidades criticas de rotacion – condiciones en las que la vibracion se incrementa de forma significativa debido a la resonancia. Un equilibrado adecuado evita danos en el equipo en estas condiciones de funcionamiento.
